Mavic
From WikiPedalia
A major French manufacturer of parts. Mavic has long been one of the top manufacturers of high-quality rims. In the late '80's, Mavic started to branch out into other parts, including very well-received hubs and cranksets.
"MAVIC" is an acronym from "Manufacture d'Articles Véloçopédiques Idoux et Chanel. (Idoux and Chanel were the names of the partners who founded the company in 1890.)
